Offensive tackle Elijah Pritchett is the latest prospect to commit to play for the Crimson Tide. The 4-star is ranked as the 94th best overall recruit for the Class of 2022. At 6’6”/280 lbs, he is a tall athletic offensive lineman with a long reach.
He has not put out a lot of senior highlight film but I did find some game film and I’m a huge fan. Big, athletic OL who is active. Still going to have to polish up some things as do most high school OL but just pure potentially physically I don’t think you are going to find many with as much or more upside. He’s not shy about it either. He will take a defender off the field and you can see him seeking out contact. There isn’t a lot of standing around. Which is always a great sign. I’m guessing we will see his stock rise ranking wise if/when he puts out senior film. ~ Tim Watts 247sports
The Columbus, GA resident seemed to be sold after he attended the Champions Cook Out in July while bonding with commits/super-recruiters Ty Simpson and Emmanuel Henderson.
Pritchett joins Tyler Booker and Dayne Shor in a class that might take only four O-linemen. Among other offensive linemen, Bama is considering are high 4-star Kentucky commit Kiyaunta Goodwin, 5-star Zach Rice, and 5-star Devon Campbell - the latter of whom will be on official visit this weekend.
Pritchett picked Alabama over Georgia, Southern Cal and FSU. Charles Kelly and Doug Marrone were his Bama recruiters.
