To honor his mother’s birthday, Jeremiah Alexander announced his football commitment to play for the Crimson Tide in 2022.
Alexander is the top player in the state of Alabama as well as the nation’s top edge rusher. He is ranked as the 15th best overall according the the 247sport rankings. The 5-star prospect plies his trade at Alabama juggernaut Thompson High School.
Alexander finished last season with 31 tackles for loss, 10 QB hurries, nine sacks and three forced fumbles for the two-time state champions from Alabaster. He stands 6-2 at 235 pounds.
As one of the top edge rushers in the country:
Already fairly developed with well-proportioned muscle mass on a good-sized frame with long arms. Is advanced physically and looks to be ahead of the curve from a developmental standpoint. Has been a highly productive player for one of the top high school programs in Alabama. Is primarily deployed as a standup edge rusher. Plays with advanced strength with the ability to drive offensive linemen into the backfield and disengage on command. Also has high-level quickness and play speed both off the edge and in pursuit. Looks to play with a high effort level and finds several ways to impact the game. Despite being well-coached, will need to continue honing his technique as a pass rusher. It will be interesting to see where he ends up in terms of ultimate size over the next few years, as he could grow into a full-time edge defender or play as a space linebacker. Projects as a multi-year starter at the Power Five level with the upside of developing into an early round NFL Draft pick. ~ Charles Power 247sports.com
Originally, he was offered around two and a half years ago and committed after Junior Day in March of 2020. However, he decommitted in October stating that he wanted to take more time to mull his decision. He also considered offers from a host of other program, ultimately picking the Tide over Clemson. Alexander visited the Alabama campus three times in June, which basically gave away his intentions. Freddie Roach is credited as lead recruiter on Alexander with Sal Sunseri on the assist.

Immediately thought of Anfernee Jennings- Just twitchier, watching that film

Word on the street is that this tweet isn't about Alexander.
By TUAMuchTuna on 07.08.21 5:28pm
Is a man not allowed to give a hearty Roll Tide without the internet questioning his intentions?!
What has the world come to?

OH, COME ON!
By PiperTJ on 07.08.21 5:52pm
Good chance it’s not
Pete wasn’t one of Alexander’s recruiters.

It’s possible in reference to
2023 athlete Samuel M’Pemba. That be my guess
By MeltdownThreadsAreNotReal on 07.08.21 6:20pm
M' Pemba you say??
By PiperTJ on 07.08.21 6:25pm
Okay, so I went down a rabbit hole a bit...
I’m verrrry much hoping Harris commits on Friday
By TUAMuchTuna on 07.08.21 6:41pm
Denver Harris looks like a Bama lean but he is not expected to announce until later
I’d be surprised if any 2023 committed this early. Saban is not a fan of that.

If that's the case, who do you think Golding was tweeting about and who was Watts referring to in "5* Fridays"?
By TUAMuchTuna on 07.09.21 6:43am
Someone on tRant floating that the Golding tweet could be referring to this guy
Kendrick Law (although that wouldn’t explain the Watts tweet)
By TUAMuchTuna on 07.09.21 6:52am
Seems that comment may have been a reflection that two FutureCasts came in last night of Law to Bama.
By TUAMuchTuna on 07.09.21 7:49am
Can anyone verify Laws PR tds? Looks like they have him credited for 1or2 on his stats, but his highlights show quite a few more than that.
By George111480 on 07.13.21 8:25am
I think both Watts's and Golding's Tweets were about Jeremiah Alexander
Watts deleted it because he screwed up his days.
Golding is not dumb enough to do teaser Tweets. GAs can do that but not an OC.

What’s your thoughts on Kevin Coleman? Oregon "insiders" believe he is a lock.
By MeltdownThreadsAreNotReal on 07.09.21 8:58am
This is from Coleman's 247 page. Is it even possible that Oregon has NINETEEN WRs on their roster!?
Also, he really needs to come visit and workout for the coaches.
By TUAMuchTuna on 07.09.21 9:21am
Kevin Coleman is a top prospect but...
He did not camp at Alabama this summer. Saban really likes to meet and get a close-up look at a guy before he green lights.
He has a great highlight reel but there could be a concerns about his size (yes, I know Waddle is listed about the same size but he looks smaller than his listed 5-11).
As of now, it does not appear he will be in crimson and white in 2022 unless he figures out a way to workout for the staff.
He is definitely not a "lock" anywhere.

Thanks
That’s good information! I feel like we need to pick up a WR or two. You feel like we are in good position to grab Stewart or any other top WR this class?
By MeltdownThreadsAreNotReal on 07.09.21 11:28am
Probably 4 WRs in this class
Bama is in a good spot with Stewart and he hasn’t even officially visited yet.
They really like Kobe Prentice out of Calera when they saw him in camp. He is a Maryland commit but would I’d be surprised if he stuck with them.
Others to watch: Barion Brown, Brenen Thompson, and Kendrick Law.
They are also pushing for Okie commit Luther Burden.
By CB969 on 07.09.21 12:03pm
Sooners would lose it
If we flipped burden considering it seems we flip atleast one of their guys a cycle.
I’ve read we are trending for Law, I know he’s listed as an athlete like brown is so I’m guessing we see them both as WRs?

Nolen is announcing his top five today (Friday)
but no commitment.
By CB969 on 07.09.21 11:09am
Ohhh, your boy did respond to Golding's tweet!
